Open Gate graduate in 2010

I had no idea of what I was in for when I learned that K203 (the number under which I took the admittance procedure at OPEN GATE) was admitted to the OPEN GATE grammar school five years ago. I just had a faint idea that this was a great opportunity.

The school enabled me to continue learning both belly dancing and Latin dance, and solo singing as well. I was involved in various activities. I received the Bronze and Silver Certificates as part of the EDIE Programme (The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award), and participated in the FICE congresses (in Sarajevo and Finland) and Debate League tournaments. I decorated the lobby at the dorm, organized the Blue Van Festival, and visited the home of the elderly and home for children with respiratory problems in Říčany. Simply put, I seized every opportunity.

I successfully graduated in the spring of 2010, but that was not the end. Thanks to a scholarship provided to me by the Educa Foundation, I was able to choose a school abroad and embark on a demanding journey towards studies at the University of Chester, UK.
