So this is it!

A wobbly bus, sleepiness, and nervousness. When I closed my eyes and tried to sleep, I saw all my relatives who had come to the station to see me off, remembered my holiday experiences, and thought about what was in store for me somewhere far away in a foreign land. To be honest, I was a bit scared. A stop at a filling station, a quick snack, and on we go. The dawn woke me from a brief sleep. It looked like it would be a nice day. Where are we now? In London…

Grab all those overloaded bags and rush to the underground. Go a few stations and then find a train to Chester. It all went quite smoothly except that I was exhausted, without any energy, hungry, and nervous.

Welcome to Chester! Smiling people greeted me at the university. So this is it…

The first three weeks are over now and I must say that my apprehension and nervousness were completely unnecessary. I have a lot of new friends, subjects that are more than enjoyable for me, and a rented room in a nice house with great housemates. Chester is a beautiful, quiet city with endless possibilities.

I have already handed in my first assignment, and the breeze before the storm is slowly calming down. We’ll see how I fare in the months to come. But I will certainly share my future experiences with you once again.
