When I was filling in the application form for the database of the international organisation based in Paris this spring, I naturally tried not to let it slip that I speak French and I love working in an international environment. In the end I hardly used French during my four months working for the OECD, but I was able to participate in the carrying out of a project for the Czech government, which I would now like to share with you.

In this volume of my thoughts about COVID, I would like to talk about a topic recently refloated by vigilant scientists and media - the Origin of SARS-CoV-2.

Covid-19 situation slowed down or made a lot of things impossible, fortunately, it did not affect my studies.

I was very happy when in April, after more than three months, I could go back to school thanks to exeptions from obligatory quarantine for students.

This year, for the first time, I had the opportunity to get a taste of the atmosphere of a real exam period at Cambridge. My impressions of this semester are mixed because, in addition to the huge academic strain, it was also one of the most balanced periods in terms of the balance between studying and socializing with classmates.

Two boxes, suitcase, and a backpack. Four years in St Andrews packed into four pieces of luggage. Inside of them are mainly books but also posters, letters, dance shoes, a collection of seashells. Postcards, notes, newspaper cut outs. I’m bringing home hundreds of pages more than necessary, and yet hundreds of pages less than I’d want to. My last semester is defined by a gradual farewell.

The second article, in which I share my experiences of studying at King's College London, I am writing in June 2021. By this time, I have already completed my exams for the first and second semesters and I am enjoying the summer in London. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, all the exams were held online and had a form of a 24 hours open book exam. This means students are given a 24-hour window in which they must complete and submit the exam. Our task was usually to write essays on a given topic. The final marks were given with great emphasis on understanding and critical analysis of the problem.
