CEVRO has very well-arranged information system, in which you can view your study plan of whole 3 years of bachelor program. That is the reason why I knew, that I have only one subject in my last year of the Economy program. Therefore I thought that it would be nice, to finish all my credits from compulsory subjects in the second degree, to have plenty of time in the 3rd degree for my Final examination.
This was sort of hard job, since our Rector gave us advice, to take only required subjects in the first year, se we get used to the new school study style, get to know our teachers well etc.
Since I have followed advices of our Recto, I had only 3 semesters to finish my settled goal. To be more specific, on the top of the 150 credits from required subjects, I had to get another 40 (25 compulsory subjects group A, 15 compulsory subjects group B) in only 1,5 year. In addition i have found my first internship.
First of all I have applied on internship in the Office of the President of the Czech republic. This job attracted me very much, since it would be in the Analytical department, that takes care of the documentations for the presidential debates and speeches. I have been chosen from group of applicant, but unfortunately I could not join this department, since it was unpaid internship, and it was highly time consuming ( part-time job).
Fortunately, I later found another internship at Ministry of the Environment, that was less time consuming, so I was able to do school, job and internship at the same time. My study day looked like this: I had to get up very early to attend my morning lectures, during my free lessons I had to travel to Vršovice where the Ministry of Environment is settled, get back to school to afternoon lectures and right from them I went to my part-time job. This academical rush finished on friday, when I had to pack myself and go back to Brno where I live. It was quite hard half-year, but it quickly passed, because my work wasn`t monotonous.
Examination period went relatively well, except one subject, thanks to which I have experienced the stress of the very last attempt of the examination. I had passed all the exams on the first try, so this situation stressed me for a bit. Fortunately I have finished all my exams and I am enjoying well deserved holidays from June.
It was very interesting, inspiring and strange year, but I have learned some important things. I have learned how to stop procrastinating, how to use my free time effectively, and not to be stressed from small failures. Everything bad is good for something else.
In 2 weeks time I am going to enter the 3rd year on CEVRO. I have achieved my stated goals, and thanks to my effort I will have only one lecture this year. Therefore I have plenty of time to focus on my Bachelor work and final exams.
I wish good luck to all of you, that are reading this blog. Don't forget that you can fulfil all of your dreams, and that everything is possible.
