Nearly at the end now

For the past few months it has become more and more apparent that I am nearing the end of my studies at the University of Reading. I have been so emerged in my work that I am almost not aware of the fact that it is the end of February. I should be doing all of my work, but instead here I am wondering where my life is going to go after graduation. Where is life going to take me after I finish this chapter of my life. There is just too many questions.

I have been intensively working on my dissertation project for the past few months. As I talked about before, me and my dissertation partner are testing a peer-support smartphone application called MeeTwo, designed to help adolescents with their mental health issues. At the beginning we made great plans with thousands of participants for our study, slowly coming to problems along the way that eventually lead us to only having about a 100 participants. Even though the deadline is in less than a month and we still don't have all the data we need, we are very hopeful that we will eventually get there.

My volunteering opportunities have been occupying a lot of my time as well. Whether it was organizing the Christmas party for Depression Xpression or creating new free time activities for patients with dementia, I have been keeping very busy. I have also gotten a new job in a local Czech school that I recently discovered. I work there as a substitute teacher teach children who come from families where one of their parent is Czech and the other is British and need to work on their Czech language. It's amazing to see that even here in Reading, there is such a big Czech community.

All in all, most of my focus nowadays is going into my work for dissertation and revision for exams. It's all coming to an end very quickly and I need to work harder than ever before.
