Last months before dissertation deadline

As I have mentioned in my previous blog entry, the final year is all about the dissertation. Whenever I come to library there are people working on it, some of them even sleep in the library if they need to.

I have already started writing, nevertheless I am still doing my research alongside the writing process. At the beginning it seemed quite scary, imagining the extent the dissertation had to be researched to. After a while though, I put my mind at ease and actually started enjoying the whole process of writing my last coherent history assignment. Besides, after this last assignment I am going to leave Uni for good and start working and living on my own. That being said, I begun to think what  I’m going to do after Uni. Although the prospect of working life seems enticing, I like to play with the idea of going for a working experience/internship.

Today, I attended a meeting in university Careers Centre, where there were people talking about possible job offers for graduates and what there is to be done in order to pursue those job offers. I attended a meeting with Language Study Centre (LSC) operator who is in charge of HR at LSC and conducts the entering interviews. I found an offer of working in a language study centre very appealing and am currently planning to pursue this offer and become an Activity Leader and LSC, which would give me a valuable experience and something extra to put on my CV. Apart from focusing on Uni, I have done a bit of volunteering as well. This would pretty much sum it up as I do not get to do much else since the Uni is so demanding. However, I still do find some free time to hang out with my friends or go out occasionally.
