Exams, sun and sheep

Exams are over and so is my second year of bachelor's degree in London.

Results are more than satisfactory and now, I can slowly start to focus on my master's degree applications. I really enjoy searching through all these amazing programmes offered. Also, I can now enjoy the sunny weather and go outside without backpack full of books and worrying about the exams.

Before I came back to Prague, where I am now spending my summer, my classmate and I went on a trip to Wales. We wanted to travel around the UK a bit and get to know other parts of the country other than London. And we finally had the opportunity to do so. We packed our bags, maps and compasses and left to Brecon Beacons National Park for 4 days. On our way, we visited beautiful city of Bath and spent one night in Cardiff. Brecon Beacons is a wonderful mountain range with only two high roads and plenty of little villages, green hills and tremendous amount of sheep. Everyday we hiked a bit of the beautiful nature, which made it a perfect vacation for me.

For the upcoming academic year, I gained an internship in Laser Cooling Group at UCL. I am really looking forward to this experience and now I am studying various literature to prepare myself for it.
