Collective preparation for exams

School is most difficult for me every time I come back after Easter holidays. It’s not just due to the many essays, presentations etc. Even though the Easter holidays were not as sunny this year, I enjoyed them to the fullest as always.

School is most difficult for me every time I come back after Easter holidays. It’s not just due to the many essays, presentations etc. Even though the Easter holidays were not as sunny this year, I enjoyed them to the fullest as always.

As in last year, I had to start preparing for the year’s final exams. There is a reason why they say the second year at universities in the UK is the most difficult. So my mates and I opted for group study and prepared for the exams together, just as we did one year earlier. It’s great how studying together towards a shared goal motivates you and makes you enjoy it – which holds true for me anyway.

Of course, we switched between studying together and a healthy dose of walks through the university park and relaxing by the university lake. As I wrote in my previous post, neither my mates nor I left anything to chance this year and found new accommodations for the next year. Our new ‘share house’ is really nice, and I can’t wait for us all to move in. Compared with last year, my new room is much larger. It also has a comfy recliner. The bathroom is nice too, as it is all painted blue (my favorite color), and it’s also quite spacious.

Thinking about it, this particular house may be my best student accommodation in my three years here. Bath is quite good weather-wise, so it’s mostly sunny with occasional showers. That lets us go on biking trips along the local canals. Many of those trips end at our favorite watering hole, George’s Pub, and I am happy to report that I am really looking forward to our group trips next year.
