After completing the first two years of my secondary education at the Grammar School of Jakub Skoda in Prerov, I spent one academic year at the Corning Union High School in California. I think of California very fondly, most notably I like to recall the trips to San Francisco and the Yosemite National Park. After my year at Corning High, I was allowed to graduate and received an Honorary Diploma. I then returned to the Grammar School of Jakub Skoda where I finished my last two years of studies.

In September 2011, I chose to study BA Law with International Politics at Aberystwyth University, Wales, UK. It is a three-year programme, but after having completed my first two years of university studies, I took a year off because I was accepted into an internship for 12 months at the Welsh Government in Cardiff. I was part of the Constitutional Affairs and Inter-governmental Relations division and my work there included researching the legal position on disqualifications from the National Assembly for Wales, including preparing briefing for senior officials and Ministers; research on aspects of the constitution of the UK, including the possible next stages of devolution for Wales or working with the Welsh Government legal team advising on constitutional and wider legislative issues, and also following the progress of a case before the Supreme Court. I am very grateful for this oportunity which allowed me to meet fantastic people and work on very intersting issues.

In September 2014, I am returning to Aber to finish my last year of undergad studies.

Goals

First on my to-do list is to finish my University studies with flying colours and then look for a job which would help me gain the experience I need in the field of public international law and human rights so that I can then pursue further studies in Public International Law at a graduate level. Of course, this may all change so we will see what happens.
