The first step is to submit a completed electronic form, which is posted on The Kellner Family Foundation’s website. The second step is to send a written application for the foundation’s grant, including all the required annexes, to the foundation’s address.
The information that we expect to find in your applications:
We are interested to know the reasons for your choice of the university/college and its ranking in the global or European charts. We also need the following:
Confirmation of your current enrolment at a secondary school or university/college;
Copies of language examination certificates;
Recommendation from a teacher or a person participating in your academic/artistic development (such as the coach, music teacher, patron, art company or science team leader, etc.);
Proof of your family’s financial situation (a certificate from the parents’ employer showing their income, tax returns, documents showing welfare benefits received, etc.).
We also expect your own essay on the topic of My Interests and Future Plans in both English and Czech, no more than 1,000 words.
An important part of the application is your own budget, from which we will see how much grant money you need and for what, and what you can cover from your own resources. See How to apply for a grant.
The Kellner Family Foundation’s Board of Trustees decides on grants based on an expert panel’s recommendations. In the second round of the selection process, the panel members meet with short-listed students for personal interviews.
We support students of various disciplines, whose academic results match their ambition to enrol at the university of their choice. In the selection process, we also evaluate the applicants’ future plans and their volunteering activities.
