The Holiday Will Come One Day

The past semester and the finals were rather a reward for me in a sense that I had only four subjects that I could devote to completely without being forced to plan what is important and what is not.

In Cultural Psychology I was observing a yoga people group week after week and taking field notes about them. I wrote down everything I noticed about them to be able to write a final culture-psychological analysis about that group (I am glad that no one from them actually wanted to read what I came up with from the observation!). In literature oriented subject I finally had the time to read every single piece of writing, which had been required, from the very beginning to the very end. Besides I also had more space for teaching English and my hobbies.

Even though I took my last exam already in May, that certainly was not any sign of the beginning of holiday. I continued teaching till the end of June and finally learnt why all the teachers at primary school told us not to bring them any flowers. I got them too from the children but I was struggling to bring them all home.

After the classes had ended I started to attend training courses on teaching adults (in the school where I teach children). Teaching adults in this school is more specific therefore the training is occurring approximately one month. Now we are somewhere in the middle of the training process, the best time to leave for one week to spend it with children on Czech-English summer camp as a main counsellor. However I already know that it is going to be tough, I cannot wait to be there the one week, honestly!

Maybe in September, I will have the time to realize my dream, which is to go to France to study the already forgotten language of theirs. The plans that I will spend every free time with selfstudy did not work out, unfortunately.

In October, I am going to study at Empire State College together with UNYP, there is no possibility to have as much time as I had the past semester. I look forward to this brand new challenge!
