Slowly to the final

It has been a while since my last post for KFF Blog but not much changed. Busy times finishing my 3rd year of circus school continue. I continued working on my selfportrait act “Ode to Joy”, I asked for feedback other artists and teachers and all of the hard work payed off- the act was well received by all the students, professionals and also the test jury.

Circus festival Cirkulum in Ostrava booked this act in the beggining of June, so I went back to my beloved country for a weekend to test out my new act in front of Czech audience.
Back to school.
Right after the lovely time in Czech I presented the first version of the concept of my bachelor thesis. As a topic I choose:“How to design and develop a new juggling prop?”
Not even the weekend after was relaxing because our Italian director Francesco Sgró flew over to rehearse our groupshow KID.
The school group shows are usually played only twice or three times in a theatre in Rotterdam mostly for other students and circus community from Rotterdam and around. However my class decided as a collective, that after more than 6 weeks of intensive rehearsals, we want to play the show more than just that. So we organized ourselves a mini tour during the first month of our last summer holiday. I was very busy helping with organizing our show in Czech. Beside that we played 5 more shows in Belgium and Italy. This whole mini tour was an incredible experience and taught us all a lot.

The very end of my study is slowly but surely coming closer and I can not wait to start creating my final act.
Thanks million times again to The Kellner Family Foundation for believing in me and supporting my study I have always dreamt about.
