New beginnings

It’s almost two months since the first day at university and I must say, it wasn’t easy, but I loved every new experience I gained during this short time. It’s crazy how fast the time flies, few weeks ago I was getting used to this new environment and now, it’s time for all the exams and other responsibilities.

Thanks to Open Gate, I must say that this new school and style of education wasn’t so surprising for me. There is only few students at Cevro Institut so there is also individual approach by professors as it was at Open Gate. The difference is, that at university, no one tells you what to do, how to prepare for exams, how is the exam going to look like etc. Everything is really only up to you and I think that that is what university is really about. It is only your choice to continue studying after high school and it is only your choice whether you want to finish with a degree or not. I’m really grateful that I realized this right at the beginning and I’m doing my best not to underestimate preparation and studying.

It is really about working hard and investing a lot of your time into the preparation. So far, I enjoy the lectures and although they are optional, I'm attending all of them - at least for now. The only subject that is much more demanding than others is law, but I think it's only a matter of time.

University life isn’t only about school, it brings many new responsibilities. Work, school, taking care of your flat, at least some social life if possible and in my case also taking care of a puppy! The first week was really exhausting. But I think that I finally found some kind of balance between all of these items I have to manage. This new independent life is a great experience for which I’m truly grateful. It taught me how to properly manage my time and many more.

So far I have been very positive about this new start. All beginnings are good and give you much more than you realize. You get to know new people, a new environment, but also yourself, and that is the most important thing. I'm curious what the next months of my new life will look like, and I look forward to it!
