My first exams are done

My first year is over, and so is my first experience with university exams. Initially I planned for four of them, but one was cancelled due to our teacher having a serious illness, and I rescheduled another one for October; I took the remaining exams in October and February.

The two exams that I took, modeling and English, went well – I achieved 28 points out of 30 for both, which is an A-grade on the Italian scale.

My first exam was English, and I was asked to present the work of a major artist or designer whose work I find interesting. Since we discussed Alfons Mucha as the founder of the Art Nouveau style at a design history lesson, I thought it would be good to choose this artist and designer, and for two reasons: first, he succeeded and gained experience and fame abroad first, and second, he came from Bohemia so I wanted to make him more familiar to my schoolmates.

The other test was in the form of presentation and defense of a model, with a shoe fashion show theme. The actual model of course played the leading role in the defense. Then the defense included a presentation sheet used to describe all work on the model and justify the choices for the shoes, prepared in Photoshop. Photoshop is a bitmap graphic editor for creating and editing bitmap-based graphics (such as photographs or pictures).

Having passed the exams, all I had to do was pack up for my trip home. The D-day was this Wednesday, and my landlady picked me up with my luggage and took me to the bus station. The trip was pleasant since I was returning home after six months. I finally reached my home sweet home on Thursday morning.
