Lovely spring

I just have to say that this spring was the nicest spring of my life so far. As I mentioned in my last post, I got married on April 22nd. The wedding was amazing and I have never been happier.

Some of my friends, classmates and teachers couldn’t understand how it is possible to cope planning our wedding while studying 5th year of a medical school, especially when my husband had to spent most of the this in Norway at work. I have to say that I really enjoyed all the planning – dress, cake, decoration, wedding menu, wedding cards, band, restaurant, photographers, wedding ceremony, hotel, music, flowers etc. Me and my husband, Michael, wanted to have our dream wedding in Prague, the ceremony was in the Saint Salvator Church right next to Charles Bridge and the celebration took place at Zofin Garden.  Our dream came true and we made our wedding day to be one of the nicest days in our lives. And how did I actually manage both demanding study and planning a wedding?

I can’t say that it was the easiest thing in my life, but I managed to control all the stuff regarding wedding and still pass all my exams. Maybe I should mention that during the 5th year I had 11 exams (infection and geographic medicine, critical care, ophthalmology, forensic medicine, medical psychology, dermatovenerology, internal medicine I, otorhinolaryngology and occupational medicine) and 2 of them were state exams (neurobehavioral sciences and preventive medicine). And I managed to get “A” from all of them! I really don’t understand how it was possible but I strongly believe that if there is a harmony between our heart and brain, and that we are capable of doing more than we think .

I have nothing to complain about. I am done with my 5th year, there are only 4 state exams left and I’ll be a doctor, married – enjoying my new name Eva Robert and the status of being a married woman. It is such a nice feeling to know that there is someone for whom you are the most important person in the life. But even better feeling is to find someone who is the most important person for you.
