Hockey and bachelor thesis

It's over. Hockey madness of the year 2015 ended. Czechs in the domestic championship didn’t achieved medals, which is a huge shame. The world championship won Canada, deservedly. Pass through the tournament without a loss and to score as many goals as they scored, it seriously deserves admiration and respect.

It's a shame that I’ll not do the final exams this year, but the next year. Once I could tell stories to my children and grandchildren about how I became a bachelor at the time when the Czech national team left the legend number 68 – Jaromir Jagr. We could make history together, but Jagr decided a little earlier than I started to write the bachelor thesis. And I do not believe that he will change his decision again. However, I am pleased that he demonstrated his quality as a player in this high age. He was one of the best attackers of the World Championship 2015 and every team full of hockey stars feared him. I wish Jaromir Jagr success in Florida, where he will try to carve out a Stanley Cup in the next season.

It’s very difficult for us – a sport fans – to learn for final exams. Other students crawl into the library or head to the park during studying. But we must to watch the world championship in ice hockey, culminating fights in NHL, Champions League, Europe League, and Premier League. We simply cannot just turn off the television or the radio; ignore the messages on the internet. It is not easy to read books and papers full of notes and study that time. I realized this recently when I said that 12 months later I will be anxiously devour information and stressed that I am totally stupid. But it will be ok! Just insert the heart into it and go across to luck.

But why worry about the future; I can enjoy the summer vacation now. I managed to close most items before the official end of the semester. I have to do two tests at the end of May. No problem! During the holidays I must read a lot. It is necessary to get some information for the thesis. I should start to put it together right after the summer and after Christmas to deal with stylistic changes only. There will be many opportunities for spending free time with a book in hand, so hopefully I will not miss the will and determination.

If I re-evaluate the second year at the university, I have to admit that it was easier than the first year. I enjoyed the time spent in school and I learned more than during the previous two semesters. Finally, I tried to write a short essay, which we talk about it in the grammar school, but we never wrote it. Timetable suit me, so there were no complications with attendance. There was only mistake which didn’t make the end of semester better – no medals for Czech team on the World Championship in ice hockey.

In addition to rest, sunshine and provocatively dressed girls I am currently looking forward to the three events that I expect in the foreseeable future. The first is a meeting of football legends in Prague's Eden. Footballers of the Czech Republic and Germany are going to repeat their final duel of the EURO 1996, and we can meet legends like Pavel Nedved, Patrik Berger, Karel Poborsky, Jan Suchoparek, Lothar Matthaeus, Michael Ballack, Jens Lehmann and others. In June, I am looking forward to the concert of my favorite metal band Judas Priest, who will perform at the O2 arena. I bought a ticket for almost a year in advance, and certainly do not regret. And in early July I’ll play football after a very long time - on a football tournament, where I volunteered with my friends. I am out of form, but I just did not want to miss the opportunity embarrass in front of dozens of spectators.

I feel in my bones that this summer will be marked by good humor and pleasant moments.
