A pianist’s chapter: Chapter 7

It’s a Halloween, year 2019! A couple of days ago I received some pleasant news- I got into semifinal round of the Rosalyn Tureck Bach Piano Competition in NYC. That motivates me to keep improving. The semifinals will take place in December 5th-6th.

I have to prepare works by Bach, Mendelssohn and Gubaidulina. I am also doing well regarding gigs, I sing in 4 choirs and I also work as Usher in concerts that take place at Manhattan School of Music. It is a bit exhausting, but also rewarding. I have also picked my graduation recital date – it will be in April 11th so that I’ll have enough time to prepare for that, also thanks to the fact that I will be staying in NYC over a winter break due to financial and artistic reasons (better conditions to practice my instrument).
