Whichever way I consider it, I still find it surprising. I assume everyone does. After all, who would have expected a star pupil and a law student at one of the world’s leading universities to drop out and decide to study literature and linguistics at – in comparison with LSE – mere Charles University. But that is life. And change is the law of life.
A nice change is realizing that the study of literature can be engaging even in the Czech Republic.
A great change is not living alone.
A sad change is missing that what could have been.
A fundamental change is knowing something will be.
A whimsical change is figuring out what and not counting on it.
A beautiful change is living in Prague. Because Prague is beautiful.
A comfortable change is living in a healthy rut.
A funny change is being happy about having homework to do.
A disagreeable change is overlooking some of your own books for obligatory reading.
A luxurious change is sleeping up to nine hours per day. Which is more than two. Or none.
A surprising change is finding out that studying phonetics can be fun.
A remarkable change is sharing all this information with others. That is a necessary change.
And change is the law of life.
