1,2…

Year 2. I realized that I’m actually half way through and it still feels like the very beginning. Few days ago I’ve turned 21, which is crazy, because I truly am an adult now.

Adult - meaning that all of my decisions are only up to me, which is a bit stressful, yet very liberating feeling. It’s the time when many of my friends are starting their own families or they are working on their carriers. I personally spend like 90% of my time at work, at school or with my dog Mio. And honestly, I’m quite happy that I don’t have much time, because when I’m busy, I don’t have time to be in a bad mood. I work at my favorite coffee place in Prague and I’m really happy with this job. I would never imagine enjoying the position of barista so much. I work with so many talented people and I have so much to learn from them.

School is also very different this year. The subjects are not so general anymore and math showed up. Let’s say that math is not my cup of tea, but I’m really trying to get into it. The important thing is, to keep up and focus so that you don’t miss anything. Luckily we also have subjects, which does not include any formulas. For instance subject called management of human resources is one of my favorites. I really like seeing the connection between school and my actual job.

My biggest goal this term is to motivate myself a bit more. Because when a person doesn’t have time at all and tries to do all the things the best he can, it might be a bit tiring and not being able to see any progress can be demotivating. So I really need to reflect more on what I’m doing, slow down and find meaning in all my activities.
