Vincenc Ignác Novotný

I am studying operatic singing and tenor voice. I discovered the opera as a young boy and it totally enchanted me. When I was given the opportunity to try singing on a stage, and even with an orchestra accompanying me, when a grammar school student, I realized that this was the right thing for me. I would like to sing in opera houses in Bohemia and around Europe one day. I know I want to work in theaters for people because artists are capable of emanating energy and charging others with it—we can improve anyone’s mood and help people forget about all of life’s troubles for a moment. That, in turn, charges me with energy. Recording a story on stage to the accompaniment of breathtaking music is the best feeling in the world. In addition, I like theater and go there often. In my spare time, I go swimming, spend time with friends, and read. I am now embarking on a four-year singing program in Vienna and I am looking forward to it a lot.
