Open Gate graduate in 2016

I was born in Brno, but spent most of my childhood in Jablonec nad Nisou, where I also started attending elementary school in 2003. I have played various musical instruments and sung from an early age, but secretly always longed to graduate in medicine from the Sorbonne in Paris.

I joined “prima” [the first year of an eight-year grammar school] at the Dr. Randa Grammar School in Jablonec, but when the opportunity surfaced to transfer starting in my second year, to Open Gate, I did not hesitate for a second. I spent seven years at Open Gate thanks to the generous support provided by The Kellner Family Foundation. The Foundation not only helped me acquire a unique education and graduate with a Czech school leaving certificate and an International Baccalaureate diploma, but also gave me general knowledge thanks to which I was able to develop.

Although my passion for music has not left me, my goals have changed from medicine at l’Université Paris-Sorbonne to studying Social Work at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. I am confident that this field of study will give me all I need to be able to help the people who need help most. I am therefore grateful to The Kellner Family Foundation for first helping me to pursue these goals.
