Open Gate graduate in 2015
I was born in the western Bohemian town of Karlovy Vary, renowned for its curative springs and film festival. As an elementary school student, I studied music fervently but once I joined Open Gate my life changed completely. I started focusing on foreign languages and history and, from my third year, I dreamed about venturing past the limits of the Babice campus.
My dream became reality thanks largely to The Kellner Family Foundation, as it promised to support me during my university enrolment in the Netherlands, in the center of what is developing in Europe. I chose that country for its openness and friendliness towards international students and for its maturity and international nature. The above description also fits Maastricht University, which I chose as the perfect educational institution for a three-year Bachelor’s program in European Law; I would also like to continue with my French and also learn some Dutch. I don’t know where destiny will take me after that. At any rate, I firmly believe that I will complete my studies successfully, earn a Master’s degree, and then use my education for the positive development of the society where I live and whose destiny I care about.
