Petr Albrecht

Member of the Expert Team

He graduated from Charles University’s Faculty of Arts, majoring in Czech Language & Literature and History Teaching. He worked as a History and Czech Language & Literature teacher at an elementary school and several grammar schools in Příbram and Prague, and also held several managerial positions at grammar schools (deputy principal and principal). Early in his teaching career, he came across the Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking and Facing History and Ourselves programs. He is a teacher and methodologist for the Facing History and Ourselves educational program. He has been involved in Helping Schools Succeed since the summer of 2013. In addition, he works at the PORG Grammar and Elementary School in Prague-Krč. 

He lives in Příbram with his family (three daughters). In his free time he likes reading, listening to the radio (Czech Radio’s Vltava and Plus stations, and the BBC), playing sports (tennis, cycling, mountain hiking) and traveling to experience both culture and the outdoors.
