The first semester is behind me and the second one is up and running

Looking back, there is a lot to say, and I do not think I have enough space, so I will just pick the most important stuff and present it as best as I can.

Last semester was the most interesting period of my life so far. I have never been so far from the people I love for so long. I think however, that I handled it rather well. Yes of course, we have the ability to communicate over facebook etc, but it still was not easy for any of us.

I think that, speaking of academics, I have done pretty well. All the classes last semester went really well for me. I think that it was a lot due to the professors that I had. They were very enthusiastic and made sure to give every student all the help they need. I would also account my success to the fact that the classes here are very, very small. With such a low number of people in the class, it is absolutely no issue to go and ask the professor questions after the class, etc.

When it comes to my extracurricular activities, I have been doing great as a member of the SAE formula club. Not only that I have been announced as an official member now, but I have also been selected as a member of a senior design team. That is something that is very rare, considering that I am a freshman. I guess that I have been granted this opportunity due to the immense amount of time I spend there working as well as my ability to come up with good and practical designs. As of now I am a member of the manufacturing team, as well as the aerodynamics design team. In the long run, this will prove extremely beneficial, as it will look fantastic on my resume.

As of now, all my classes are going really well too. As a matter of fact, I received a certificate for outstanding academic achievements not too long ago. Just as last semester all of my professors are absolutely fantastic and make everything, especially the challenging stuff, intriguing. As a matter of fact, I need to keep up such academic standing, since I have been offered a chance to enter a five year BS/MS program, meaning that I would have a chance of receiving my master together with my bachelor’s degree.

Lastly, but not leastly, I have to say that I found some amazing friends here. Not only that everyone is academically motivated but also helps me a lot with the unavoidable adjustment to american culture.
