Student resume

I was born in Prague, where I still live today. I have intensively practiced magic and juggling since age six, and have recently begun to combine these two passions with Contemporary Circus. I am the current Czech champion in modern magic and the only Czech representative to participate in the 2015 World Championship of Magic.

Since 2011, I have worked closely with the French charitable organization Magiciens du Monde, with whom I have traveled throughout Europe and Africa, where we perform at hospitals, children’s homes and orphanages, and in economically disadvantaged regions.

Since 2012, I have been a member of the Contemporary Circus ensemble Cink Cink Cirk. This experience has made me realize that Contemporary Circus is something I would like to study. Unfortunately, there is no school for Contemporary Circus in the Czech Republic, and so I have had to look for a university abroad, in a country where Contemporary Circus is in its prime. I have been accepted to the bachelor’s program in Circus Arts at the Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam.

I am glad to be able to take advantage of this great opportunity and, thanks to The Kellner Family Foundation, take another step towards the artistic career I have been dreaming of.
