Student resume

I grew up in the small village of Broumy near Prague. That’s where I went to elementary school, but I never thought about venturing any further than the nearby high school in Beroun. Then in eighth grade, an opportunity arose to leave the elementary school for the Open Gate eight-year grammar school, where Educa Foundation supported me financially for the whole five years.

That high school taught me to aim not just a few meters, but many kilometers beyond “just” the nearest high school. I was introduced to various possibilities of modern-day education all over the world and I was being prepared for them right from the start.

In my first year at Open Gate, I decided to direct my studies towards various parts of the world in order to better prepare for the tough competition on the labor market as well as to get to know new cultures, friends, and possibilities that differ from ours. I studied at a high school in the U.S. in the 2008/2009 academic year, and I also took my baccalaureate exam there successfully. I am currently studying at Lancaster University, specializing in European Management (French), which will enable me, after two years, to take another two years of bachelor’s program in France.

I would like to use this opportunity to thank Educa Foundation and everybody at Open Gate for support in my studies and for the excellent preparation for my further education.
