The Helping Schools Succeed project is now in its tenth year of publicly funded primary schools. The long-term plan for improving educational standards and teachers’ professional development was initiated by the family foundation of Mrs Renáta Kellnerová and Mr Petr Kellner, which has contributed approximately CZK 37 million a year to the project over the last few years. The family foundation of Mr and Mrs Kellner, The Kellner Family Foundation, donated CZK 89.5 million in 2018, primarily for the development of education in the Czech Republic. Most of the funds were channelled into activities in the public and private educational systems, which are being sponsored on a long-term basis: they were intended for pupils, students, and teachers. Over its ten years the Foundation has distributed as much as CZK 710 million.
