The Open Gate grammar school in Babice near Prague provides the highest level of education for children who have the aptitude to achieve excellent academic results. The mock tests, which will be taken in Prostějov, Ostrava and Zlín, allow children to try out the procedure for admission to this grammar school. Half the pupils are studying here thanks to grants. If the children pass the tests, they will only face an interview during the conventional admission procedure. Kellner Family Foundation Sponsors 57 Students at the World’s Best Universities

The University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, Yale University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) are, among many others, universities where students receiving grants under The Kellner Family Foundation’s UNIVERSITIES project will soon be studying. In the sixth year that Foundation has been running the project, 57 students from the Czech Republic have been offered a grant from the Foundation giving them the opportunity to attend top universities, most of them in other countries, in the coming school year.

The Kellner Family Foundation Publishes Its 2013 Annual Report

The family foundation of Mrs. Renáta Kellnerová and Mr. Petr Kellner has published an annual report detailing its activities in 2013. The Foundation allocated more than CZK 91 million to beneficiaries. Most of the funds are channeled into support for education and educational projects, which constitute The Kellner Family Foundation’s main objective over the long term. Last year was the first time that the Foundation also allocated funds to three teams of researchers; they received grants under the Science project.
