The Foundation in figures

Over its twelve years the Foundation has distributed as much as CZK 891 million for projects, primarily in the field of education.

1 658 need-based scholarships to the Open Gate Grammar School students in period 2005 - 2020; 96 of them received grants in school year 2020/2021, totaling about CZK 39 million. Our grantees include 58 students from children’s homes and foster care, and the rest of grantees come from families whose socio-economic status would have prevented them from providing their children with good educations matching the children’s talents and determination to learn.

The Foundation donated CZK 8.7 million for the Universities project in 2019. In the 2019/2020 academic year, 53 students have received grants. The grantees under this program study at, for example, the University of Cambridge, University of Oxford and other schools in the U.K., the U.S., the Czech Republic and also the Netherlands, Japan or Austria.

Support under the Helping Schools Succeed project benefits some 2.991 teachers from 116 public elementary schools and, through them, more than 39,603 students, in cooperation with dozens of experts from various fields and specializations. The Foundation supported this project to the tune of CZK 34.5 million in 2020.

The Science project distributed a total of CZK 38 million in period 2013 - 2016 to 3 research teams.
