I come from Jirkov, where I started playing music at an early age. Following two years at the Teplice Conservatory, I changed over to the Prague Conservatory where I completed my studies, first with a school-leaving examination and then graduating after completing a higher-level curriculum. While still on my two-year program in my post-examination curriculum in Prague, I studied in Paris for two years. I was admitted to the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno to begin studying in September 2016 and, if everything works out, I will study concurrently at home and abroad again.

The opportunity to study in France opened up for me thanks to Concours Debussy, a major clarinet competition where I was placed among the first 15 candidates out of 187 entrants. Franck Amet, who organizes the event, showed interest in me, and I am his student now. I placed first in the auditions, which is why I can now study in France. In addition, being in Paris confronted me with French on an everyday basis. Thanks to this experience, I have added another language to my skills. I would really like to continue my studies in Paris, which is why I took the admission tests at one of the most prestigious schools in my field, the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, and came fourth out of a total number of 88 candidates from all over the world. I am currently waiting for a response regarding my admission.

Goals

My academic goals include completing my university studies and potentially pursuing research as part of my doctoral program. In my professional life, I would like to succeed as an active performing artist with opportunities to play frequent solo or chamber concerts, or as a concert player with a leading European symphonic orchestra. I rank my family, health and satisfaction as the primary values in my personal life; this may sound empty initially but I believe that, without them, I could not fulfill my goals and ideals.
