I come from Ostrava, where I have lived all my life. I completed my eight-year studies at the Wichterle High School with final exams and straight A’s, which enabled me to continue my education at the prestigious Imperial College London. While still a high school student, I was a regular participant in specialised ‘Olympics’ and other competitions. This extra work afforded me a wealth of new knowledge and experience and, perhaps more importantly, it helped me to better understand my abilities and limits, and what I want to pursue in the future. I was always fondest of mathematics and physics, so I eventually chose one of the most demanding engineering subjects, Aeronautical Engineering. I wish to use this opportunity to thank The Kellner Family Foundation for making it possible for me to study this subject through its financial support.
